Vehicle moves in P position, or parking gear does not disengage when shifted out of P position
DESCRIPTION
• Vehicle rolls on a downward slope in P position.
• Tires lock when shifted out of P position. Vehicle does not move in D range and R position when accelerator pedal is depressed, and engine remains in stall condition.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
• Parking mechanism malfunction (May have effect on noise or shock from transmission)
• Improper adjustment of selector lever
• If vehicle moves in N position, perform No.4 "VEHICLE MOVES IN N POSITION"
