Excessive shift shock on torque converter clutch (TCC)

DESCRIPTION

• Strong shock is felt when TCC is engaged.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

• Incorrect characteristics of input signal or malfunction of TCC piston pressure adjustment
(when there is open or short circuit, shock does not occur because fail-safe prevents TCC operation.) Inspection procedure is basically the same as No.14 "TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH (TCC) NON-OPERATION".
