POSSIBLE CAUSE

• Malfunctions unrelated to AT:

– Abnormal noise from differential
-
– Abnormal noise from propeller shaft
-
– Vibration caused by unbalanced or uneven tires

• Although the malfunction is basically the same as No.22 "NOISE OCCURS AT IDLE WHEN VEHICLE IS STOPPED IN ALL POSITIONS/RANGES", other causes may be selector lever position disparity or TR switch position disparity.

• Before following the troubleshooting steps, make sure that the Automatic Transmission On-Board Diagnostic and Automatic Transmission Basic Inspection are conducted. (See BASIC INSPECTION.)
