1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the battery cover.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Remove the catalytic converter. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Remove the insulator.
6. Disconnect the solenoid valve connector.
7. Measure the resistance between the following terminals.
ATF temperature: 20-80 °C {68-176 °F}
8. Connect the solenoid valve connector.
9. Install the insulator.
10. Install the catalytic converter. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
12. Install the battery cover.
13. Install the engine cover.
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the battery cover.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Remove the catalytic converter. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Remove the insulator.
6. Disconnect the solenoid valve connector.
7. Apply battery positive voltage to terminals E, F, G, H, I or K and battery negative voltage to GND, and verify that operation sound is heard from solenoid.
8. Connect the solenoid valve connector.
9. Install the insulator.
10. Install the catalytic converter. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
12. Install the battery cover.
13. Install the engine cover.
1. Remove each solenoid valve. (See SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2. Measure the resistance of each solenoid valve individually.

Shift solenoid A, B, C and F
TCC solenoid
3. Install each solenoid valve. (See SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
